John 16:33 NIV: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

John 10:10, ESV: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

Jesus promises that in this world we will have trouble, things that will challenge us, try to push us down and make us doubt our ability and the future, but He also promises that He has overcome the world and that through Him we as God's children can have life more abundantly!

How can life be abundant and joyful when my jobs at risk, or when I lost a loved one, or when there are so many scary changes happening in the worldand I feel so alone?

The answer is so simple, Jesus promises so therefore it is true, we can't find this peace or abundance on our own, in our own ability or in the ablity of another person, but we do find it through a relationship with Jesus. Read the Words of God they bring us life.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Our confidence is in Jesus not in ourselves, not in mankind. When God is with you in what you do there is no chance of failure. Look at these people as examples, David, Ruth, Esther, the Isrealites and the walls of Jerhico, plus many more. Read these stories and let them fill your heart. God is no respector of persons. What He did for them He will do for you too!

Rise up and stand for what God says is true and do not be conformed to this world and its ways.

Romans 12:2 NIV: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Hebrews 13:5-6 KJV: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear What man shall do unto me.

Isaiah 52:12 AMP: For you will not go out in a hurry [as when you left Egypt], Nor will you go in flight [fleeing, as you did from the Egyptians]; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 54:17 NKJV: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Know the Word of God. Daily learn the Word of God.

Right now the most important thing we can be doing with our time is reading God's Word, letting it soak into the depth of our heart and praying His Word out into the world. In this we can be confident that we will recieve God's peace. Our faith grows stronger within us as we build our relationship with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Faith works when we trust the One Who Loves us. Make it a priority to trust in Jesus. Remember He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He chose for you to be born in a time such as this. Rise up and do God's will, be confident in the Lord!

Jesus loves you!
