Why I Put Boundaries on What I Choose to Eat

Today I wanted to talk about why I am choosing to make these food changes in my diet. I am choosing to eat this way because I want to be in control of my food, not my food in control of me! I don’t want to be a mindless eater anymore!
I read a scripture that has stuck with me, it is God speaking and He said “For My people perish for lack of knowledge”. I read this & thought “wow, I want to know as much as I can, I don’t want to just sit back & be passive” Reading this scripture has driven me to gain as much knowledge as possible, letting God lead me and to show me His truths.
I want to be aware of what food companies and cosmetic companies are putting into their products before I use them. I’ve come to realize that through the knowledge that I have gained that unfortunately the bottom line for most of these companies is about money and not the general public’s health. I have determined that I need to take responsibility into my own hands to be responsible for my health and for my family’s health.
Another reason is that I have learned that I am God’s holy temple, just as you are too if you have a relationship with Jesus. So now, knowing that I am God’s holy temple I want to honor Him by choosing the best foods so that I can live a long healthy life to be able to accomplish everything that God has planned for me.
I also want to walk my talk. I want to live what I preach. The best part so far in doing this is that I am discovering so much about myself that I was unaware of before!
Enjoy food and Choose Life!
