Rejoice always, Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5;16-18
Many of us are saying that it has been a difficult year, but I would like to encourage you, and even challenge you, to try to view this past year from a different perspective.
Every year comes with it's own challenges & difficulties. It is just that this past year everyone around the world is facing the same difficulty. It is so easy to get caught up in the media and the conversation of negative talk about how bad things are or how bad they have been, and maybe you have faced some difficult challenges yourself, but I would like to challenge you to find the good. The bad we see so very easily, but we often need to look harder, to search, for the good. It is there! You will find it if you seach with the desire to see it. There is always good!
I had a friend share with me about a Christmas card that she received this past Christmas. The person who sent the Christmas card had made a list of all the negative things that have transpired over this past year, and for every negative she countered it with a positive! What an insirational Christmas card! She made a decision to see things from a different perspective & to share it with others to help those who were feeling lonely, sad, discouraged, angry and/or frustrated.
God tells us, (it's not a suggestion, it's actually a command, and God never tells us to do anything that we are incapable of) that we are to pray continuously and to rejoice in ALL circumstances! Not only in the good ones, but in ALL, that means the bad ones too!
Being thankful kills anxiety and depression! I feel as though I need to repeat that.
Being thankful kills anxiety and depresion! There is a way to fight back, you are not a victim of anxiety or depression! Learn to live in a state of thankfullness!
God WANTS us all well! He loves each of us so very much! We always have Jesus to be thankful for ~ He took all of our sin, all of our sickness away. He set us free to live eternally with God in Heaven!
Please know that I am in NO way trying to make light of your situation or the difficulties that you have experienced. The pain is real and Jesus knows this. Now you need to know that Jesus loves you and He cares about you. God doesn't want you stuck in your pain, He wants you to change your focus, to take it off the bad and put it on the good. I pray that you will challenge yourself to be thankfull in all situations and that you will discover the Jesus kind of peace that comes with it.
Please know that you are not alone. God is always with you. I too am here if you need to talk or if you have any questions. Please email me, I'd be happy to talk with you. Rejoice in the small things, give God thanks and share His love with others. We all need each other, we were created to share each others pains & joys.
